The Padua College St Clare Performing Arts Centre landscape responds to both functional performance needs and the existing campus character, creating a flexible and welcoming outdoor setting for students and the broader school community. Positioned around the new performance hub, the design leverages natural level changes to form informal terraced seating and gathering spaces, supporting outdoor learning and events while strengthening connections to the adjacent oval.

A series of curved pathways and paved forecourts define arrival and circulation, using a restrained palette of coloured concrete and durable materials to ensure longevity and clarity of movement. These spaces are complemented by generous lawn areas and pockets of artificial turf to accommodate high student use and informal recreation.

The planting design emphasises hardy, predominantly native species, including Lomandra, Poa and Banksia, creating a textured, coastal-inspired landscape that is both robust and low maintenance.

Informal garden beds wrap the building edges, softening built form and integrating with the architecture, while custom seating and edge treatments provide opportunities for rest, performance and social interaction. The result is a cohesive landscape that supports performance, play and everyday campus life.
